Are you aged 6 – 18 years? Would you like the opportunity to sing your favourite musical theatre song to a live audience?

Young people (aged 6 – 18 years) are being invited to send in their favourite musical theatre song to be in with a chance of winning a coveted spot to perform at this year’s Young Entertainers in The Community Awards at The Churchill Theatre, Bromley!

How To Apply

Send in a short (maximum 1 minute) video singing your musical theatre song of choice via WeTransfer to auditions@yeaawards.com with ‘ONLINE MUSICAL THEATRE COMPETITION‘ in the Subject Line. Please include your name, photo, age and name of song.

All video entries must be accompanied with a completed Entry Form.

The video entries will be judged by an independent panel of judges and scored out of 10.

The Top 10 entries will be posted on our social media platforms.

The Top 3 Winners will get the opportunity to perform at the 2023 Young Entertainers in The Community Awards Ceremony!

Rules For Entry

The Online Musical Theatre Competition is open to all young people aged 6-18 years.

All video entries must be from a musical and must be accompanied by an instrumental backing track or live accompaniment (no longer than 1 minute in length).

Young people can enter as a solo performer only and only solos will be considered.

Tips For Submissions

Please stand in front of a plain clear background.

Please ensure the device you are playing your accompaniment from is not too close to the device you are using to record yourself on, so our judges can hear your voice clearly.

Please choose a song from a musical that shows your ability and range.

Important Dates

Deadline for entries: Friday March 24th 2023. 

Finalists Announced: Sunday 14th May 2023.

Winners Announced: Sunday 21st May 2023.
